Shipping Policy

This Shipping Policy explains how DML World Inc. prepares, ships, and delivers orders placed on dmlworld.com and dml-world.myshopify.com. Different rules apply to filaments, ready-to-ship printed goods, custom prints, and 3D printers because these products ship under very different conditions.
All DML orders ship from our warehouse at 10423 Valley Blvd, El Monte, CA 91731.
1. Where We Ship
DML ships to the 50 United States, the District of Columbia, and US military addresses (APO/FPO) where carriers support them. We do not currently ship to US territories (Puerto Rico, Guam, US Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Northern Mariana Islands) or to any international destination. Orders with shipping addresses outside the supported regions will be cancelled and refunded.
2. Processing Time
Processing is the time between you placing an order and the order leaving our warehouse. Processing time is separate from shipping transit time.

Orders placed after 12:00 PM Pacific Time on a business day, or on a weekend or holiday, are considered received the next business day. Processing may be extended during peak seasons, material stockouts, or for orders requiring additional quality control. You will be notified if your order requires more than the estimated processing time.
Custom print orders are reviewed for printability before production begins. If your submitted model requires modification, additional information, or is unprintable as submitted, we will contact you before starting production.
3. Shipping Methods and Costs
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your cart, destination, and service level. Sales tax is charged on shipping as required in California.
Filaments and Ready-to-Ship Printed Goods
- Shipped via UPS Ground, USPS Ground Advantage, or FedEx Ground, selected based on weight, destination, and best available rate.
- Rates are calculated at checkout.
Custom Prints
- Shipped via UPS Ground, USPS Ground Advantage, or FedEx Ground after production is complete.
- Rates are calculated at checkout based on the printed part's weight and dimensions.
3D Printers · Consumer-grade
- Shipped via UPS Ground or FedEx Ground, typically via the machine's original manufacturer packaging.
- Rates are calculated at checkout.
3D Printers · Industrial-grade (Freight)
- Shipped via LTL freight on a wooden crate or pallet.
- Two flat-rate service levels:
- Curbside delivery: $400 — the freight carrier delivers to the curb in front of your address. You are responsible for moving the crate from the curb into your building.
- Liftgate delivery: $550 — the freight carrier uses a liftgate on the truck to lower the crate to ground level. Still does not include inside-building placement.
- Freight appointments are coordinated by the carrier 24-48 hours before delivery. You must be present or have an authorized representative present to receive the shipment.
- Industrial freight requires the shipping phone number to be accurate and monitored. We cannot dispatch freight without a reachable phone number on file.
Split shipments. Orders combining multiple categories (for example, a 3D printer plus filament) may ship in multiple packages under different shipping methods and arrive on different days.
4. Estimated Delivery Time
Estimated delivery time is processing time plus transit time. All estimates are in business days and exclude weekends, US federal holidays, and carrier exceptions.

These are estimates, not guarantees. DML is not liable for carrier delays, weather events, address access issues, or missed delivery attempts.
5. Sales Tax on Shipping
Shipping charges are subject to California sales tax where required by law. Tax is calculated and displayed at checkout.
6. Order Tracking
Once your order ships, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing the carrier, tracking number, and a link to the carrier's tracking page. For freight shipments, the freight carrier will also contact you directly to schedule your delivery appointment.
You can also view order status and tracking by signing in to your DML customer account via the magic link sent to your email.
7. Shipping Address Accuracy and Changes
You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address at checkout. DML uses the address exactly as entered. We are not responsible for delivery failures, redirect fees, or lost packages caused by incorrect or incomplete addresses.
To change a shipping address:
- Contact us at info@dmlworld.com before your order ships. We will update the address if the order has not yet been handed to the carrier.
- Once an order has shipped, address changes may not be possible or may incur carrier redirect fees that will be charged to you.
PO Boxes: We cannot ship 3D printers or freight shipments to PO Boxes. Filaments and ready-to-ship printed goods may be shipped to PO Boxes via USPS only.
8. Failed Delivery, Refused Shipments, and Unclaimed Packages
Failed delivery attempts. Standard ground carriers typically make up to three delivery attempts before returning a package to us or holding it at a pickup location. You are responsible for monitoring tracking and retrieving the package or arranging redelivery.
Refused shipments. If you refuse a shipment (other than for documented shipping damage as described below), or if a package is returned to DML as undeliverable due to address errors or failed pickup, we may treat the order as a voluntary return. The following deductions may apply:
- Original outbound shipping cost (non-refundable);
- Return-to-sender shipping cost charged to us by the carrier;
- Applicable restocking fee per the Return and Refund Policy for the product category.
Freight shipments specifically. Refused freight shipments incur significantly higher return-to-sender costs. A refused industrial printer shipment may result in $500-1000 in carrier charges that will be deducted from any refund.
9. Damaged or Lost Shipments
Ground shipments (filaments, printed goods, custom prints, consumer printers). If your package arrives with visible damage, photograph the package before opening and contact us within 7 days of delivery at info@dmlworld.com. We will work with the carrier to file a claim and arrange a replacement or refund.
Freight shipments (industrial printers). Inspect the crate and packaging before signing the delivery receipt. If you see visible damage:
- Refuse the shipment at the door, note the damage on the delivery receipt, and contact us immediately; or
- Accept the shipment but write "DAMAGED - SUBJECT TO INSPECTION" on the delivery receipt, photograph all damage (crate, packaging, product), and contact us within 48 hours.
Damage claims on freight shipments not noted on the delivery receipt or reported within 48 hours cannot be honored by the carrier and will not be covered by DML.
Lost shipments. If tracking shows no movement for more than 7 business days, contact us at info@dmlworld.com. We will open a trace with the carrier. Most carriers require 14 days from the last tracking update before declaring a shipment officially lost. We will replace or refund confirmed lost shipments.
10. Dead on Arrival (DOA) Machines
If your 3D printer arrives non-functional out of the box, the DOA terms in our Return and Refund Policy apply. Contact us within 7 days of delivery. DML covers all return freight, replaces or refunds the machine at your choice, and waives all restocking fees.
11. International Orders
DML does not currently ship internationally. We do not accept orders, inquiries, or freight coordination requests for destinations outside the United States. If you need 3D printing services or equipment delivered internationally, please contact a reseller or service provider in your country.
12. B2B and Contract Orders
For orders placed under a signed B2B purchase agreement, Master Service Agreement, or Statement of Work, the shipping terms of that contract take precedence over this Shipping Policy where they conflict. Contact your DML account representative for contract-specific shipping arrangements.
